History
Philip Trapkin, the owner of our company, has been involved in construction and remodeling for decades and formally began our company in 1997. The name Sterling Works derives from a company started by Philip’s father, Louis Trapkin, over sixty years ago – Sterling Sign Co. In the picture to the right, Philip’s sisters are shown “working” on their Dad’s sign sometime in the late 40’s. The senior Mr. Trapkin was a talented craftsman and businessman who built his company with great success, setting standards for quality and integrity that made his mark in the outdoor advertising industry in New Jersey for over 35 years. We believe we have carried on his tradition in the way we have built our company - one customer, one project at a time. By listening to our customers, we are able to tailor the scope and design of our construction in order to walk away at the end of yet another successful project confident that we have met and exceeded our homeowners' expectations.

Mission StatementWhether large or small, we approach each project with the sense that we are leaving our mark on this world and that it matters how much our customers enjoy the changes to their homes. Remodeling can create a lot of dust and disturbance and we aim to make the process as smooth as possible, maintaining steady communication about progress, schedules and design adjustments. We hire high quality craftsmen, use high quality building products, as green as possible, stay abreast of developing building trends and bring our ever-growing knowledge base to every job. As part of our commitment to developing ourselves as businessmen and remodeling experts, we maintain memberships in the Atlanta Home Builders Assoc (AHBA), the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) are on the Remodelers Council of NARI and are committed to the enrollment of key members of our team in the Certified Remodelers program.
