We built this house for a real estate partnership that bought a two bedroom cottage in Virginia Highlands. We demolished the existing house and were faced with a very challenging small steep lot.

The “shell” of the house was drawn in great detail by the architect, but the interior trim details were left pretty much to our design. This proved to be very rewarding, as our finish carpentry crew wasn’t accustomed to such creative latitude.

We all thoroughly enjoyed working and re-working design elements, including custom cabinetry, a solid cherry fireplace surround, all the tile choices, lighting fixtures and paint colors.

As you can see from the photos, our efforts were very successful. The final product has impressed the agents who have shown the house, and the partnership who hired us were completely satisfied with our work. We look forward to more of the same.
