What Our Customers Say About Us
"Wow! I was so right picking Philip Trapkin and his excellent team."
I was very apprehensive "shopping" for a general contractor I could trust and depend on to build my new basement bathroom. Doing my homework, I contacted several builders, checked State licenses, and read hundreds of reviews. After carefully analyzing all the facts, I felt Sterling Works was by far the best choice for the job.
Wow! I was so right picking Philip Trapkin and his excellent team. From the first day until the job was completed, Philip was on site daily checking on the progress of the project. He was very "hands on" making sure my wife and I were satisfied through each phase of construction. The finished product is fantastic! I had dreamed of adding this much needed bathroom for many, many years. My only regret is not finding this company sooner. For the best quality and outstanding service, I highly recommend Sterling Works!
"When small things would arise Phil was quick to offer a reasonable (and money saving) solution."
We had an amazing experience working with Phil and his crew at Sterling Works! From the moment we met Phil he went above and beyond to answer all of my questions, offer creative ideas and solutions and communicate with me throughout the entire process.
We remodeled our 1960s kitchen, moved our laundry room and added a half bath. The crew in my house every day were respectful and knowledgeable and Phil was around frequently to over see the process. When small things would arise Phil was quick to offer a reasonable (and money saving) solution. Phil's relationships with other vendors took the responsibility of communicating back and forth off of me and for that I am grateful.Phil is an all around nice and knowledgeable guy who doesn't forget the details of a large project. Everyone we worked with through Sterling Works was professional and did a great job. We will use their services in the future!
"The Sterling Works team did excellent work in our master bathroom."

"We are completely satisfied with their work and would recommend them in a heartbeat"
We found Sterling Works through a Google search, read their reviews and were compelled to call and meet this company. From the first meeting we were impressed and decided to hire them to remodel our two bathrooms. They let us know well in advance about their schedule, showed up when they said they were going to, treated our house and our family with respect and completed on time, on budget.
We are completely satisfied with their work and would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone wanting first class work.

"Professionalism, knowledge, craftsmanship, and pride in their work..."
After interviewing several companies, we chose Sterling Works to remodel 2 dated bathrooms in our 60's ranch. Philip was a great collaborator listening to what we wanted from the very first meeting. We found his manner to be honest and straightforward. It was also nice to work with someone with such a strong attention to detail and dedication to insuring the job was done correctly. Philip and his team worked tirelessly to insure we were pleased with the final outcome and helped us stay within the initial budget set. I would recommend Sterling Works to anyone as their employees deliver on all levels. Professionalism, knowledge, craftsmanship, and pride in their work just to name a few.
"Every expectation met..."
Every expectation met on 10+ week, major 3 bath renovation which included re-configuring a bedroom to install a new full bath, and all while my family lived in the house. Sterling was spot on with accurate cost estimation, a solid work contract, timely change orders, handling of structural surprises, and on time delivery of a project with great finish work. Very hard to find all that in one contractor. Will engage Sterling again on second phase of renovation.
"I recommend Sterling Works without hesitation."
I was fortunate to chose Sterling Works to build the second story on our home. After vetting four firms for our renovation it became quite clear after meeting them that we would be moving forward with Sterling Works. Throughout the seven-month process they were transparent and communicated with me weekly on the progress of the project..
Like any large renovation, our old house presented unforeseen “surprises.” I cannot compliment Sterling Works enough on how they always worked with us to find the best and most cost effective solutions to all the issues our house presented throughout the entire renovation. They have great attention to detail and design, and this is reflected the quality of our home and is always pointed out by guests now that it is complete. Lastly, they have been extremely responsive to addressing little things that have crept up now the project is finished, this only points to their professionalism and the pride they put into their craft.!
I recommend Sterling Works without hesitation. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would to like to learn more about our experience with Sterling Works.
"From the first meeting with them, I felt very comfortable."
I hired Sterling Works to build a large screened porch and deck, replace my front porch, and do several small projects inside my home. From the first meeting with them, I felt very comfortable. They are down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They helped guide me through my first-ever renovation project, and helped solve issues with permitting and needs for change in the architects plans part way through the project. Their crew was professional and courteous. They made sure I was satisfied with everything, were always available for questions, and kept in constant contact so I knew what was going on when. The finished porch looks fabulous and I get all kinds of comments on how nice it turned out. Highly recommend Sterling Works, and have already referred some friends.
"We hired Sterling Works to do a major renovation and upgrade to our Brookhaven home's kitchen."
We hired Sterling Works to do a major renovation and upgrade to our Brookhaven home's kitchen. They worked with us, listened carefully and added some great ideas. Their workers were polite, conscientious and skilled. We never worried about having to be at home to oversee anyone. A few very minor surprises were quickly taken care of at no extra cost and the final result is wonderful. We're delighted with Sterling Works and have already begun recommending them to others!
"I trust the work that Sterling Works is doing and would hire them again."
When interviewing contractors to put an addition on my home, I stumbled upon Sterling Works. I haven't looked back since. They spent a lot of time talking to me before we even signed on the dotted line and have kept me informed all along the way. They are personable and know their industry. Their bid on the project came in right where I needed it and there have not been many surprises. The crews that they have are all very friendly and polite and do quality work. You don't realize until you get into this kind of project how vital it is that you really trust the people doing this, and I can say, without hesitation, that I trust the work that Sterling Works is doing and would hire them again.
"We could not be more thrilled at the end result."
We hired Sterling Works to completely gut our old kitchen and refinish the original hardwood floors in our 1920's home. We could not be more thrilled at the end result. Philip and Tim truly listened to what I wanted in my kitchen and wow, did they deliver. We work out of our home so someone was here most of the time. Everyone on Philips team was so conscientious and the work is meticulous. Working with Philip was a pleasure and he made keeping track of the $ easy. We are planning to use Sterling Works again for the next project.
"Our new kitchen is dazzling.""
We just completed our kitchen renovation with Sterling Works. After reading reviews by former customers we looked forward to a pleasant remodeling experience. We were not disappointed! They consistently provided top notch service and attention to detail. Whenever we had a question they responded right away and kept to the timetable and budget we originally set when we signed their contract. "We are thrilled with the results! Sterling Works did a super job!"
Phil and his crew turned my dated (old) and busy kitchen into a calm, utilitarian and attractive living space. We were reluctant to start a major renovation for the obvious reasons, but Phil put us at ease and put his crew to work. They were considerate of our presence and needs, paid attention to detail, and always left their work space cleaned up at the end of a workday. We are thrilled with the results! Sterling Works did a super job!
"Our new bathroom is a total transformation!!"
Our new bathroom is a total transformation! Philip and his crew do high quality work, and even though we have an older house (circa 1940) they handled all the hidden issues old homes have within the budget. Philip also gave us some great design ideas and all of his suggestions worked out great. We love everything about it, and are so happy we'll have them redo our master bedroom next.
"So happy we with worked with Philip to remodel both of our bathrooms."

"They were extremely organized and detailed."
I hired Sterling Works to do a remodel of my kitchen and building a closet space where a bedroom used to be. They were extremely organized and detailed. Phil Trapkin (the owner) kept me appraised of any changes to the original proposal. The price was very fair, and the work outstanding. I would highly recommend this company.
"The team did a fantastic job, and we are so happy with the outcome!"
From the first meeting with Phil, I knew Sterling Works was the right choice for our kitchen remodel. He took the time to truly understand how we use the space to make thoughtful recommendations. The team did a fantastic job, and we are so happy with the outcome!
"Very high-quality work and attention to detail."
We first met Sterling Works after seeing reviews on Nextdoor. After reading about the excellent work they did for our neighbors, we became interested to see if they would be a good choice to work on our large kitchen/master suite remodel. We decided it was a good fit and chose to work with them after a meeting with our architect. We could not be happier with the finished product. The collaboration was smooth, and their communications were timely and informative. Very high-quality work and attention to detail. We love our new space and look forward to a future 'Phase Two' project as our family grows. I highly recommend Sterling Works.
"Sterling Works worked tirelessly to finish at the promised time."
After our first meeting with Sterling Works, we knew that we wanted them to be the builder for our home expansion project, as they took the time to study our plans and current structure and get familiar with our project at that early juncture even before we had formally named them as our contractor. As the project proceeded, their accessibility and personable nature helped to make the construction process run smoothly for all of us (during what is always a hectic and stressful period for a displaced homeowner). Their crew’s workmanship and attention to detail became evident as our new addition took shape. But what has impressed me the most in hindsight was the adherence to the schedule we were promised at the beginning of the job. We were given an estimate of six month from the time that work began, and even with the expected frantic rush of the final two months of construction (and some unexpected weather delays) we were able to move into our home at the six month mark. In my business, I deal with commercial contractors all the time and see how construction schedules are rarely met even in the best of circumstances. For our project, Sterling Works worked tirelessly to finish at the promised time.
"We are very pleased with Sterling Works."
Our experience with Sterling Works in remodeling and updating our bathrooms was thoroughly positive. They provided valuable advice and helpful suggestions about the project. They pointed us toward the suppliers we needed to contact and gave clear, careful instructions about what we should get and how we should proceed. They were resourceful in helping us generate ideas about what we wanted and in steering us toward what was feasible. They were also punctual in their meetings with us, as were their employees who did the work. What they said they would do, they did. Their employees did great work. They were professional, courteous, and skillful in their work; no, more than skillful, they were artistic craftsmen who took pride in producing aesthetically pleasing work. They came and left on time, treated our house and furnishings with respect, properly disposed of the old materials and fittings, and created minimal intrusion while they were here. We are very pleased with Sterling Works.
"Given the opportunity I would gladly refer Sterling Works to anyone seeking a great contractor."
When searching for a home to buy in Virginia Highlands/Morningside my wife and I previewed numerous upscale new homes on the market. The minute we set foot in the home built by Sterling Works we immediately noticed the high quality of attention to detail and craftsmanship - details that set it well above the homes then on the market. We bought the house and have lived here for over 10 years. We continue to enjoy the layout, solid construction and the overall beauty of the space they created. Our initial reaction to the house proved to be accurate and, as our family grows, we continue to enjoy our wonderful home overlooking one of the nicest parks in Atlanta. Given the opportunity I would gladly refer Sterling Works to anyone seeking a great contractor.
"They worked with me to achieve what I wanted."
Working with Sterling Works was a delight and I would highly recommend them. They walked me through the whole process and helped me make good decisions every step of the way. They worked with me to achieve what I wanted. The result is a master suite addition for my parents that is gorgeous and functional. It really blows people away. It allows aging in place but looks like it has always been part of the house. You can't tell the difference between the original wood floors and the new one. The workers were on site when they told me they'd be there and they did outstanding work. Sterling Works made the stressful process of going through construction as painless and enjoyable as possible. If you want personal service and attention to detail, use Sterling Works.
